About Us

Message

Hiroshima University is committed to being a university that continues to shine globally, even 100 years from now. In addition to producing talented individuals through education and sending them into society, we also play a vital role in implementing our research outcomes in society to create meaningful impact. In addition, we seek to contribute to regional revitalization by building a university-industry collaboration model. This model connects two key areas:

Co-creation domain: where universities and companies work together to develop human resources
Non-co-creation domain: where universities lead research and development independently
By linking these domains, we create a “circulation process of talent and technology” that benefits both academia and industry.

The Industry-Academia Collaboration Division facilitates collaborative research by negotiating and coordinating agreements between university faculty and corporate researchers working on shared challenges.

We also propose research themes at the organizational level and support the formation of joint projects with the help of specialized personnel.

My vision for this division is to be a support organization that is “visible,” “reliable,” and always "striving for better ways”. We will continue strengthening our on-the-ground capabilities to support your initiatives.

If you are considering a collaborative research or other forms of collaboration, please feel free to contact the Industry-Academia Collaboration Division!

Director, Industry-Academia Collaboration Division, Hiroshima University Makoto CHIKAMURA
