A research paper was published about “Visualization and Quantitative Evaluation Technology to Gauge Excitement by the Cranial Nerve Index”.

The research group with Specially Appointed Professors, Shigeto Yamawaki and Specially Appointed Associate Professor, Maro Machizawa worked on the theme of visualizing perception. They used a subjective psychological axis with three categories -- comfort, activate, and expectations – to make a model for gauging excitement. Brain-wave information when people images, anticipate, and evaluate was used to create the world’s first report on a perception multi-axis model for quantitative evaluation of excitement.
